April 2005. 2005 is really moving on.
As you know by now, I've learned a little backup lesson in March.
If you don't know what I mean, read the Technology
and Business section of this newsletter. In any case, April's
newsletter is noticeable shorter than previous newsletter due to
this situation. I think that I did master this valuable lesson. Teri
Schiavo has died, God rest her soul. I hope that this puts an end
to that ridiculous circus the media as well as our public
officials have helped to create...More

Finally I saw some movies in March. Of
course it was during Spring Break, but nevertheless I saw two
movies. On March 21 I saw Hostage.
It was a good movie. Bruce Willis always gives a stellar
performance in anything he does. Going back to Moonlighting,
I've always enjoyed a Bruce Willis movie. In Hostage Willis
plays a small town police chief engaged in a hostage situation.
Years earlier the character was in a more prestigious position
with the FBI or some such "cops" affiliation...more

Fitness and Lifestyle
It's springtime, summer is
almost here. You still have time to shed those excess pounds before it's
bikini weather. If you are going to shed those pounds, do so for the right
reasons - to maintain health, fitness and well-being. I guess your looks
have something to with it, but don't let your looks be the main or only
reason to firm up and get in shape. By all means do not go on
another diet. Diets don't work. Rather, change your perspective and
lifestyle. Some suggestions: don't eat to satisfy emotional needs. I can't
help you with your emotional health. You are the only person who can do
anything about such needs. However, I can offer you a suggestion or two.
First come to grips with you. No, not the you I or other people see, but
the you that you see...more

The Unites States government involved in an
individual's “right to die” issue? What is happening in this the
United States of America? The president, the United States congress, the
governor of Florida and the state legislature of Florida have
gotten involved in the "right to die" issue involving Terri
Schiavo. This is just too bad. The “right to die” is a private, family
decision and it is dealt with every day across America. Appropriately, the
courts have gotten involved in the "right to die"
controversy involving Terri Schiavo's "right to die" case...more

Who determines death. I always
thought that God had that duty. However, it seems that with technological
advances of the day, the life/death decision is being taken out of the
hands of God and put in the hands of humans. God gives life, God should be
the one to end life. That's the easy answer. Life in the twenty first
century is anything but easy. God has been good to mankind,
boy is that an understatement. Yes, it's an understatement, but it is
true. Man has developed in such a way as to gain near ultimate control
over life and death. Is this wrong? God has provided the means for man to
achieve such feats, shouldn't man take advantage of such knowledge to
improve human life and death?...more

Practice what
you preach. Old adage, but a very applicable piece of information.
What is one of my pet peeves? Think about it. Among other things I
am always preaching the virtues of backing up important data from
your computer. In this day and technology age of virus. Spam, spy
ware and the like, it is very important as well as time effective to
make backup copies of important and perhaps irretrievable data from
ones computer...more

A treadmill for an animal? Yes sir, that’s what the
