Happy Memorial Day!

Today is the day we pay tribute to our veterans.
We "decorate" the graves of our veterans with flowers, wreaths and flags. 
Another name for Memorial Day is Decoration Day.
I can remember my Grandma talking about the picnics,
parades, and fireworks on Decoration Day.

It's the first of the summer holidays. 

The traditional Memorial Day is May 30.

Now we celebrate it on the last Monday in May.

Memorial Day, The 4th of July, Labor Day and summer time
bring to mind an appreciation of our American heritage. 
We remember our presidents, our leaders, our good
and not so good, but proud times!

Let us remember all the Veterans on this day.
If it wasn't for them, we may not be living in this beautiful and free America.
